Alder & Ash Pedalboards has been my passion for years now. It has sparked a love of woodworking that I doubt will ever fade.
Alder & Ash Custom Woodworking is my way of branching out into traditional cabinetry and furniture making. I love the challenge each build brings, of bringing ideas to life, and building something someone will hold dear for years to come.

A Bit About Me
I'm Rich. Slightly hairy, reasonable tall, and rarely seen without a hat.
I've been a guitarist since I was 14. It completely took over my life, and has guided me through my teens and adulthood, shaping and focusing every turn of my life. Obviously, I fell in love with pedals, which eventually led me to start building pedalboards. It's here that I found my second passion; woodworking. The craft, the techniques, the intricacies of each build are addictive. The joy of bringing a piece together holds me like the joy of learning or writing a new song. Being able to bring both of my passions together through Alder & Ash Custom Woodworks is a dream. I'm still building on it, and I'm eternally thankful to everyone who has helped me achieve this.
A&A is me, myself and I. Everything built comes straight from my home workshop. No CNCs, no out-sourced labour. Just a lot of sawdust, and patient partner & child, and passion to create furniture that you, your children and their children will hold dear.
